General Information

Description

Course Progress Notification (CPNote) is an early identification and intervention system to be utilized by the University Studies department at Portland State University.

CP Note is designed to enable faculty to communicate concerns, and refer and connect students to campus services and resources. Where appropriate, the system will be used to provide feedback to a student about her/his progress in the course.

Purpose and goal of the project

The Course Progress Notification System will provide a means for UNST faculty to contact their students regarding a comprehensive variety of concerns, examples may include: “Attendance/Late for Class”, “Time Management”, and “Writing Skills.” The software tool would provide a referral based on the Professors’ concerns to help assist the students.
